Welcome to the Rheinfelden Industrial Park
The industrial park is part of the city of Rheinfelden and makes an important contribution to securing the region’s future: around 1,100 people work here. It is an employer, a training center, a research hub, and produces innovative products that are delivered worldwide.
The industrial park covers an area of about 40 hectares – roughly the size of 68 football fields. Its history is shaped by hydropower, and sustainability is a top priority here.
- Situated in the tri-border region: Germany – Switzerland – France
- Motorway access: A5 towards Basel --> A98 towards Rheinfelden
- Rail connection: Rheinfelden station, with long-distance links via Basel Badischer Bahnhof
- The site’s industrial history dates back to the 19th century.
- Today’s plant was created through the merger of two originally separate chemical sites.
Among other things, hydrogen peroxide, specialty silicon compounds, and silicas for a wide range of applications are produced here. These include detergents, insulation elements for refrigerators, fuel-saving tires, building protection, and coatings.
